We’ve made significant improvements to the Fake Mail Generator. It is now faster, more reliable, and works on mobile devices. We’ll be continuing to roll-out new features and design tweaks to make it the best temporary email service available.
We are doing a trial run of offering the Fake Name Generator under the https protocol. This often allows you to get around web filter restrictions.
To give it a try, simply visit https://www.fakenamegenerator.com/
We are starting fresh with new, professional translations of the Fake Name Generator. Our old translations, many of which were machine translated, have been removed completely from our website.
We’ll be publishing these new translations over the next several months. To get started, we’ve translated the Fake Name Generator into Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.
If you find a mistake in our translations, please let us know! We’ve switched to standard gettext .po files. This makes it easy for our visitors to contribute improved translations of our website.
We noticed we were missing country flags for a few countries. These flags are visible within the My Names page. This has been corrected.
We’ve fixed the save button. This inadvertently got broken during the launch of our responsive design a few days ago. Sorry for the inconvenience!
The Fake Name Generator will be unavailable for a brief period of time starting March 6, 2015 at 6:00 AM UTC. We anticipate only a brief interruption in service while we update the software that runs our servers.
We’ve updated the underlying code for the Fake Name Generator website to use responsive design features. This means that our site will now adapt to the size of the screen you are using, whether you are on a desktop, a phone, a tablet, or some other device.
If you have been screen scraping the Fake Name Generator, please stop. Your existing code has probably stopped working due to changes in the structure of our site. Instead of screen scraping, please consider our free bulk ordering system that lets you get up to 50,000 identities at a time.
Found a problem? Please let us know!
Some bulk order formats (such as CSV and pipe delimited) are sensitive to extra lines at the end of the file. We had an issue that was adding a blank line to the end of these files. The bulk order process has been updated to remove this extra blank line.
We’ve fixed a bug in the bulk ordering system that was displaying Cyprus (Anglicized) as the country full name when the country name should have been Cyprus (Greek).
We’ve updated the bulk ordering system to provide both state abbreviations and state full names as options. This feature is available for most countries.
